Lucy is a friendly, professional family osteopath, who treats patients from new born babies (their mothers, pre and post partem) to the older patient and everyone in between. Through her success in treating one person in the family, she has in turn been recommended to aunts, uncles, grandparents, grandchildren, neighbours and colleagues.
Graduating with a Masters in Osteopathy (M.Ost) from the British School of Osteopathy (BSO), the oldest osteopathic school in Europe, having completed a 4 year degree in Osteopathy she now treats a wide range of musculo-skeletal problems. Lucy utilises a variety of osteopathic techniques including soft tissue massage, MET muscle stretching, joint manipulation and cranial-sacral osteopathy to name a few techniques.
As an undergraduate, Lucy cemented and now continues to develop her knowledge in key areas; Osteopathy and Obstetrics, Involuntary Motion Studies (Cranial-Sacral treatment) and Functional Technique. Lucy's dissertation explored a potential link between altered nerve/muscle development in children/young adults and learning disorders (particularly dyslexia) and is continuing to develop her knowledge in this area working with developmental psychologists and neurodevelopment therapists.
